Facebook Enters The Dating Business.

Facebook seems to get interested in everything, but in this case, it’s online dating. Facebook has just launched a new dating feature and this was announced during Facebook’s annual F8 developer conference held on Tuesday.

The Social media giant having discovered that about 200 million Facebook users list on their profiles that they are single, sees the potential to match people up. Zuckerberg said, “it’s going to be for building real long relationships, not just hookups.”

But with a whole lot of dating apps already saturating the market, one would be forced to think that Facebook’s new feature has arrived the party rather late.

Facebook clarifies that it’s dating feature is not an app. But a profile within your Facebook profile and only interested people will have to create the dating profile. He added that friends and family will not see your dating profile except those who are not your friends.

And to further convince users that their data would be safe as many may not want to hand over more information to Facebook with all these privacy concerns lately said: ” this has been designed with privacy and safety in mind from the beginning.” Mark Zuckerberg.
